What is Dance for Sick Kids?

Dance for Sick Kids is a fun, active way to stay connected and raise funds to support seriously ill children and their families.

This exciting, new, virtual event is for everyone! From regular dancers missing their studios to daggy-dad dancers and beginner isolation Tik Tok challengers. No matter what your skill level, we want you to join us!

It's simple - Sign up and take on a challenge to dance each day for a chosen period of time. Then ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you to help make a difference!

We'll make it super easy for you to take part by providing exclusive access to virtual dance classes throughout our challenge week. And lots of fun dance moves to practice in the lead up! 

By signing up today you will not only be joining in Australia's biggest dance party but you are showing sick children they are not alone.

Baby Steps

30 mins a day

Ease into it. Dance on your lunch break and get your favourite Tik Tok dance down pat!

Groove and Move

60 mins a day

Try 15 mins when you wake up and a 45 minute dance party each evening. Get your playlists ready!

Dancing Queen

120 mins a day

You are serious about making a difference for sick kids. Find a routine you want to learn or have fun and freestyle!

FAQs

Can I start a team with friends, family or colleagues?

Sure can! And we encourage you to. Creating a team for join Dance for Sick Kids is a fun way to stay connected with colleagues or loved ones whilst we are in isolation. It's easy, when you register, select create or join team. Think of a fun team name and start recruiting your team members to help make a difference!

If we are in isolation, how will I dance with my team?

Good question, and thanks for keeping people safe by staying home. There are a number of ways to dance with your team from the comfort of your own homes, including Zoom, Skype, Facebook Messenger, most video call apps have group functions these days. Click through to download our Team Tips.

Do I have to choose one of the options for the amount of time I dance each day?

Nope. When you register there's an option to 'Choose your own challenge'. Choose whatever you are comfortable with! If that's 15 mins a day, great! As long as you are safe and having fun there's no worries. For the keen dancers out there you might want to set yourself a bigger challenge with a dance marathon!
