Taylah is dancing to give back

When Taylah was 12, her life changed. She was rushed to hospital, hours away from her hometown, with dangerously high blood sugar.

When she received a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provided a safe space for her family to stay while she was in hospital, learning to live with diabetes.

Three years later, when her little sister was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Taylah knew RMHC could support her family during their hospital stay.

Now a dance teacher, Taylah wants to give back to the people who helped her during this massive change in her and her sisters’ life.

“I have a love for everything dance – from dancing myself to teaching others to dance. Dance for Sick Kids is my two loves; dancing and helping others. It was a no brainer!” – Taylah Hardes, Dance Teacher.
