I'm dancing to make a difference for sick kids!

When a child is injured, or diagnosed with a serious illness, it affects the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down, and it puts families under enormous pressure. For many families, it can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.

That’s why I’m joining Ronald McDonald House to Dance for Sick Kids this year.

I’ll be making a move every day for 7 days, to raise money that will help families stay in a home-away-from-home, access emotional and financial support, and more. From day one in the hospital and for as long as it takes, your help ensures that families don’t have to navigate the challenges of illness or injury alone.

Please support me by making a tax-deductible donation to my challenge. Your generosity will make sure that Ronald McDonald House can support even more families with a seriously ill or injured child when they need it most.

My Dance Diary

Thank You

Sunday 17th May
Thank you to all that donated.  It’s an amazing cause and every little bit helps.

Why did I choose this fundraiser?

Tuesday 12th May
I was very sick and spent nearly a month at the Children’s Hospital when I was young.  Mum came in every day to sit with me.  My dad, sisters and brother when they could.  As an adult, I realise how hard it would’ve been for mum coming in. She didn’t drive, and caught a bus, train and tram to get to the hospital. She’d be with me most of the day, then go home to look after her husband and four other children.  The strain would’ve left her mentally and physically exhausted.  Today families can be together and close by their sick child/sibling at Ronald McDonald House.

Giving

Monday 11th May
My little way of supporting families doing it tough.   Today was for the kids but it was also for my heavenly parents who taught me the precious gift of giving.

Thanks to all the generous people who’ve donated to my challenge.
