I'm dancing to make a difference for sick kids!

When a child is injured, or diagnosed with a serious illness, it affects the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down, and it puts families under enormous pressure. For many families, it can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.

That’s why I’m joining Ronald McDonald House to Dance for Sick Kids this year.

I’ll be making a move every day for 7 days, to raise money that will help families stay in a home-away-from-home, access emotional and financial support, and more. From day one in the hospital and for as long as it takes, your help ensures that families don’t have to navigate the challenges of illness or injury alone.

Please support me by making a tax-deductible donation to my challenge. Your generosity will make sure that Ronald McDonald House can support even more families with a seriously ill or injured child when they need it most.

Thank you for coming along on this journey of dance with me!!! I've been enjoying the dancing, not as much doing the video of it but it's for a good cause. I really appreciate your donations to this cause.
Today's dance is something local, to celebrate Australia and it's the classic Nutbush!!

Was so busy dancing I missed putting up a post on Day 3!! 😅
Day 3 was Salsa, my fave dance style at the moment. I've been doing weekly classes for two years now.
Day 4 is a random country dance and I picked Ireland!!

The Plan

Friday 8th May

Hey lovely people!

I'm taking a seven day dance challenge from May 11 to May 18, to raise funds for Ronald McDonald house 💃🏽 Dance is one of the things that has helped me through the first year of losing my beautiful big brother way too soon. When I saw this fundraiser, it felt right to participate, to help sick kids. Ronald McDonald House is doing some amazing work in this area. 💖✨

So the challenge I'm giving myself is to daily post a 30 sec dance clip of me for the seven days!! I would really appreciate your sponsorship to motivate me to embarrass myself publicly!! I dance for fun and I'm not a professional dancer even though I have some great Aunts who have won dance awards, that level of talent was not passed down to me 😅

For the last 2.5 years, I've being doing salsa classes once a week, which I have found incredibly helpful for reducing stress and boosting my mental health.

Here's the link to my sponsor page and please join me too 😀 This is my plan:

May 11 Day 1: Dance to something from the 90s

Day 2: Fave song to dance to in my teens

Day 3: My favourite dance style at the moment

Day 4: Pick a random country and do their dance style

Day 5: Pick a random country and do their dance style

Day 6: Freestyle expressive dance

Day 7: Get your Bollywood on

Thanks to all the generous people who’ve donated to my challenge.
