I'm dancing to make a difference for sick kids!

When a child is injured, or diagnosed with a serious illness, it affects the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down, and it puts families under enormous pressure. For many families, it can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.

That’s why I’m joining Ronald McDonald House Charities to Dance for Sick Kids this year.

I’ll be making a move every day for 7 days, to raise money that will help families stay in a home-away-from-home, access emotional and financial support, and more. From day one in the hospital and for as long as it takes, your help ensures that families don’t have to navigate the challenges of illness or injury alone.

Please support me by making a tax-deductible donation to my challenge. Your generosity will make sure that Ronald McDonald House Charities can support even more families with a seriously ill or injured child when they need it most.

My Dance Diary

Day Seven - Final Dance

Sunday 18th May
Dancing the night away to the Elvis.   Thanks everyone for all the donations.

Day Six - 1974

Sunday 18th May
Reliving my youth from 1974 dancing to the Doobie Bros, Queen & T-Rex.

Day Five - The Musicals Part Two

Sunday 18th May
Dirty Dancing, Abba & Hairspray was my choice on this occasion.

Day Four - The Musicals Part One

Wednesday 14th May
Tonight, I danced to the music from Hair, Grease and Footloose.  My favourite movie from these 3 is Hair.   Loved the music from the 60's.

Day Three - Tina Turner Time

Tuesday 13th May
Had a fun evening dancing to a number of Tina's hit songs...the older I get the harder to dance to Nutbush City Limits - I am so unfit!!

Day Two - Rock n Roll

Monday 12th May
Tried a bit of rock n roll tonight but definitely no twisting as my hips were a tad sore from Day One.

Day One - time to jive

Saturday 10th May
This morning I started dancing to Chubby Checker and finished the night with Jive Bunny.  Great way to begin this 7 day dancing challenge and raise money for sick kids along the way.

Thanks to all the generous people who’ve donated to my challenge.
