Make a move and support my Dance For Sick Kids!

When a child is injured, or diagnosed with a serious illness, it affects the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down, and it puts families under enormous pressure. For many families, it can feel like it’s impossible to hold it together.

That’s why I’m joining Ronald McDonald House Charities to Dance For Sick Kids this year.

I’ll be making a move every day for 7 days, to raise money that will help families stay in a home-away-from-home, access emotional and financial support, and more. From day one in the hospital and for as long as it takes,  your help ensures that families don’t have to navigate the challenges of illness or injury alone.

Please support me by making a tax-deductible donation to my challenge. Your generosity will make sure that Ronald McDonald House Charities can support even more families with a seriously ill or injured child when they need it most.

My Dance Diary

The official 7 days begin 💃🤩

Tuesday 24th May
It’s ‘Make your move’ week with only 6 more days to contribute to this amazing campaign. Char was unwell yesterday so Jonathan & I stepped in &  enjoyed the sunshine while dancing on the deck ☀️🕺
Charlotte was back in action today and gave Tina Turner’s nut bush a hot crack with some groovy steps & a very pink costume choice 😍💗
Thank you for everyone’s continuous support and donations. Keep it up🤗🙌

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Friday 20th May
🥰🤩 Our friends and family are truly superstars & have helped Charlotte meet her donations goal a whopping 3rd time.
We were so excited to reach over $1000 last night thanks to you & APG workforce with the double your donation promo going live at 6pm.
A very special email was received this morning telling us that a family can now receive 8 nights stay in the Ronald McDonald home away from home house ❤️❤️❤️ Now that’s super cool 😎 👏
Charlotte’s name will also be added to the Dance For Sick Kids Honour board at the Ronald McDonald house showing families staying there that she’s ‘making her move’ to support them & their seriously ill or injured children.
What a wonderful first fundraiser for Charlotte to be a part of.  Thank you DFSK!!!
Less than a week until the official 7 days begin. If you have any song requests you’d like to see, send them in & hopefully Miss Charlotte approves.  She’s very particular with what music she dances too 🙊💃🕺

Woah Wizard 🧙 ❤️

Tuesday 17th May
We are in the ‘Woah Wizard’ level at the moment meaning we’ve raised enough to help a family spend 4 nights in care together. Charlotte & I are so happy about this & we couldn’t have done this without the generosity of our friends and family. Thank you.
It is now less than a week away for the official 7 days of dancing & we are excited.

We’ve reached  $700 🙌 & now have a new fundraising goal of $850 💃

A new fundraising goal!

Thursday 5th May
We’re now in May and have already smashed our fundraising target of $320 so will be changing it to $700.
Thank you so much to our family and friends who have generously donated for this wonderful cause.
Char, Johnny & I have been enjoying lots of freestyle dancing leading up to May & we are starting to learn some new songs & moves to go with it.  Dancing makes us happy and always brings a smile to our faces. Lots of giggles are had when we’re ‘making our move’.

Thanks to all the generous people who’ve donated to my challenge.

MEET ANUNTA

At just 11 years old, Anunta was 100km from home, and learned that the cyst on her ankle was, in fact, a cancerous sarcoma.

With no clothes, and nowhere to stay, Anunta’s parents, Doungnead and Anthony, didn’t know what to do.

Thankfully, Ronald McDonald House Charities were able to provide a room for the family. When Anunta started chemotherapy, Doungnead was able to provide a taste of home, cooking fresh meals in their own little kitchen while the family focussed all their attention on her treatment.

“Being in a place where everyone cares about you, and is there for you, was so special. It became our second home” Anunta's Mum, Doungnead
